A chatbot is only as good as the content it has access to. Since we limit your chatbot to only answer user’s questions using your content, it becomes imperative to provide as much content as possible to answer user’s questions.
Thankfully, you already have a great rich source of content which is your product catalog, and we already have access to it through our Shopify App. We also have access to customers’ order history that we leverage to answer their account specific questions (we first verify the user's identity before using any customer specific data to answer their questions).
We also several ways to provide additional content that Radiance SmartChat can use:
- Topics: you can add brand-level topics in the Radiance Console > SmartChat Builder. You can either copy and paste content from elsewhere e.g. your website into each topic or use our auto-generate feature to simply provide the topic title or subject and let AI generate an initial topic content that you can review, edit, and approve. Examples of brand-level topics are Shipping Policy.
- Product Topics: Product Topics are similar to Topics, except that each Product Topic is attached to a particular product in your catalog. You can create Product Topics in the Radiance Console > Admin > Catalog. Similar to (brand) Topics, you can either copy-paste existing content or use AI to generate new content easily. - Content Ingestion: Radiance also supports directly ingesting non-product content from your website. Please contact us to enable this functionality for you.
Note that none of the topics and content provided are shown directly as answers to the user. Instead this content is used to help GPT in generating answers tailored to the user's specific question.
Also, very importantly, any time you change or add content, remember to Update Training in Radiance Console > SmartChatBuilder.
