Campaigns refers to marketing messages that are scheduled to be sent to users who opt-in to receive messages from your brand. The campaign messages can be scheduled for a future date so that your SMS marketing campaigns are aligned with other marketing channels. You can also send SMS marketing campaigns on an adhoc basis.
Creating Marketing Content
Marketing messages can be created in the Message Library in the Content section. You can utilize an existing template or create the message from scratch. When you create a marketing message please see CTIA Best Practices and TCPA regulations and ensure that you are following all SMS Compliance rules and regulations. Please refer to the SMS Compliance section of this document for more information.
An SMS marketing message can have just a text block(SMS) or text block and media(MMS). Please refer to the Article: Detailed Campaign Specs for more details on the campaign specs. URLs can be added to the message as well. URL’s are automatically shortened unless you select the option to not shorten the URL. You have the option to add rules and properties to the message if desired. After you create a message, you can preview the content by sending the test campaign to your mobile device.
Scheduling a campaign
After the campaign message has been created in the Message Library, a SMS Marketing campaign can be scheduled from the Automations section.When you create a campaign, you have the ability to select the audience (Please refer to the Segmentation section to create a new audience) and exclude an audience for the campaign.You can add descriptive tags for your campaign, select the content that you created and schedule a campaign for a specific date and time. After the campaign is scheduled you have the option of canceling the campaign by clicking the delete button. Refer to the Analytics sections for more information regarding reporting on campaigns.
